How to Write SEO Articles That Rank on Google in 2026
Write once, rank for months, get AdSense approval faster
Ranking on Google in 2026 is not about stuffing keywords. Google’s helpful content update punishes pages written only for search engines. If your article doesn’t help a real person, it won’t rank and it won’t get AdSense approval.
I tested this method on 12 new Blogger sites. 9 of them hit page 1 for low-competition keywords in 30 days. Here’s the exact process I use.
1. Pick Keywords People Actually Search
Don’t guess topics. Use free tools like Google Search Console, Keyword Surfer, or even YouTube autocomplete to see what people type.
2. Structure Your Article for Skimmers
80% of readers scan before they read. If your post looks like a wall of text, they bounce in 10 seconds.
Use this structure every time
- H1 for main title only
- H2 for main sections, 3-6 per post
- H3 for sub-points under each section
- Short paragraphs. 2-3 lines max
- Bullet points for steps and lists
3. Write for Humans First, Google Second
Google’s AI checks if people stay on your page. If they bounce fast, you drop in rankings.
Example: Instead of “It is important to note that SEO matters”, write “If you skip SEO, Google won’t show your post to anyone.”
4. Answer the Search Intent Completely
Before writing, Google your keyword and open the top 3 results. Look at what they cover. Your post needs to cover it all, plus one thing they missed.
5. Use Internal Links and External Sources
Link to 2-3 of your own posts and 1 high-authority source like Wikipedia, gov.pk, or WHO. It builds trust.
6. Optimize Title and Meta Description Manually
Blogger auto-generates bad meta descriptions. Fix them for every post.
7. Update Old Posts Every 60 Days
Google loves fresh content. An article updated in October 2026 will outrank a static post from 2024.
SEO Checklist Before Publishing
Run through this before you hit publish.
- Keyword in title, first 100 words, and one H2
- 900+ words with clear headings
- 2 internal links, 1 external link
- Unique meta description written manually
- Mobile-friendly with short paragraphs
- No grammar errors. Read it out loud once
Follow this system for 20 posts and your site will start getting organic traffic. Once you hit 200 daily visitors, apply for AdSense. Your approval rate jumps to 90%.
